Columbia Sportswear Company (Nasdaq:COLM, the “Company”), a leading innovator in active outdoor apparel, footwear, accessories, and equipment, today announced that Sarah A. Bany, a longtime director of the Company, notified the Board of Directors of the Company (the “Board”) on December 9, 2019 of her decision to resign from the Board, effective immediately, in order to focus on administering Gert Boyle’s estate.

“It has been my great honor to serve as a director of Columbia Sportswear since 1988,” said Ms. Bany. “However, as I am now responsible for administering my mother’s estate, I feel that I should step away from the Board so that I can fully dedicate myself to that responsibility.”
