In order to mitigate the above-mentioned risks, Studsvik has adopted three principles that act as guidelines for its sustainability work: to develop environmentally sustainable solutions for the nuclear industry, to be an attractive employer for potential and existing employees, and to take responsible and long-term economic decisions. Through these principles, Studsvik has decided to address four of the UN’s seventeen sustainable development goals: #3 good health and well-being, #7 affordable and clean energy, #8 decent work and economic growth, and #9 industry, innovation and infrastructure.
