Empir places great importance on social responsibility, in order to be an attractive employer. The company’s human resources policy emphasises health, education and a balance between work and leisure. Empir has also taken responsibility for offering a safe and non-discriminatory work environment. As a service company, the link to environment is less obvious than for a producing company. Empir wants to contribute to a better environment by recycling office materials, however. It also works with environmentally-friendly suppliers and chooses transportation that has the least impact on the environment. No previous ESG incidents have been reported.

We see potential to improve when it comes to the amount of ESG information available to external investors. Empir dedicates a small section of its latest annual report to the subject, but has not yet clarified any KPIs on ESG targets or ESG data. In terms of gender diversity there is also work to be done, especially in management where no women are represented. On a positive note, 60% of the board of directors were women in 2018.
